About Us

Do you have any unused computers, components, or peripherals lying around your house? Got decommissioned PCs you are looking to get rid of? Consider donating to Student Information Technology Services by dropping off unused technology in Canton room CV 26. Student Information Technology Services (SITS) is an organization that takes old tech, makes it new again, and donates refurbished computers to other organizations or households that don't have access to such technology. Donations can be made between 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. For more information, please contact us at 734-392-8713 or studentinfotechservices@gmail.com. No donation is too small.

What Does the SITS Team Do With the Donations?

Once we receive your hardware donations, our student volunteers will handle reconditioning from beginning to end. Students inventory all donations and delegate responsibilities to administrators, who then leads a group of technicians through the refurbishing process. All equipment is cleaned, tested, and upgraded by our student volunteers, and we install open-source operating systems for each machine. Installations are completed with custom educational software packages, and machines are tested again before distribution. These systems make their way into the homes of children without computers.

Donate to SITS

You can donate to the SITS donorbox here! These funds will go directly to enabling the day-to-day operations of SITS, such as buying repair parts where donated parts cannot be used. Donations are accepted via Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, and Venmo. Thank you so much for your support! For more information, please contact us at 734-392-8713 or studentinfotechservices@gmail.com, or visit our members page. No donation is too small.
